A real estate agent, a resident of Western Washington’s wine country, Woodinville, and a keen observer of all things terroir. I have watched and reported on the escapades of a merry band of winemakers and growing number of 100+ wineries in Woodinville.
Since the 1980’s Washington wines have been making a statement. Washington is second only to California in growing wine grapes and wine production. Wine has taken over Woodinville and with it the” terroir” ~ a French word derived from “terre”, terra, which means land or more appropriately a sense of place. My hope is that through these postings a taste of Washington’s wine and terroir is conveyed and a sense of place is found.
