Seattle Food and Wine Experience
Food, wine, beer and cider packed the Exhibition Hall at the Seattle Center. Appropriately named the Seattle Food and Wine Experience was truly……an experience!
With my #SWFE hashtag ready to go and my mocked up official tweeter badge I managed to navigate through the elbow to elbow crowds to get a bit of face time with some great wines and the folks behind them. The crowds though were not my biggest obstacle. My challenge was that there was so much and so little time. Here is the short list of a few of my discoveries:
an amazing $10 bottle of Lemberger ~ @Kionawine
The International Pinot Noir Celebration – upcoming 24th annual event in McMinnville, OR ~ #IPNC2010 @IPNC
Balboa Winery ~ @mattbalboa
Amity Vineyards Organic Pinot Noir
King’s Estate Next Riesling ~ @KingsEstate
Duck Pond Red Blend ~ @duckpondcellars @desertwindwine
Grand Reve – Series IV ~ @GrandReve
Waterbrook ~ @waterbrook
Owen Roe ~ @owenroewinery
Ville Pozzi ~ Nero D’Avola distributed by W.J. Deutsch & Sons, LTD.
Kathy Casey’s new book - Northwest Table ~ @KathyCaseyChef
Seattle Food Wine Experience proved to be a tremendous display of Washington’s finest foods, wines, beer and cider. A fun day that certainly left those in attendance with an appreciation for Washington’s unique and influential place in the world of Food.
Thank you Kathy for the fabulous signed book! Thanks @Shona425 for your help in getting to the front of the lines. And thank you @seattlefoodwine for organizing and inviting the “wine tweeters”
@Shona425 @SeattleWineGal @WriteforWine @WABrokers @chatrbox @winebeerwa @yasharseattle @chrisnishiwaki and yours truly @nwwineandre
I can’t wait to try some of that wine!
